Chinesischer Teufelsfisch

This devil scorpionfish is similar to the spiny devilfish (Inimicus didactylus) but has different pectoral fins (dark inner surface with large pale or yellow spots, no yellow band) and lives on sand and rubble where they bury themselves with only the dorsal fin and top of the head exposed. Devilfishes have poisonous spines that can inflict excruciatingly painful stings.

Dieser Teufelfische ist sehr ähnlich zum Finger-Teufelsfisch (Inimicus didactylus), sie unterscheiden sich in der Farbe der Brustflossen (er hat keine Bänder, sondern bleiche oder gelbe Flecken auf dunklem Untergrund). Teufelsfische leben im Sand vergraben, wo sie auf ihre Beute, kleine Fische, warten. Teufelsfische haben giftige Rückenflossen.
