Stumpy-spined Cuttlefish / Sepia

(Sepia bandensis)

Baby cuttlefish - kleines Sepia

This baby cuttlefish was caught with my flash during a nightdive in Padang Bai. It changed colors very quickly, then let off a squirt of ink and disappeared. Another one, only 1.5cm large, I found hiding in the spines of a sea urchin. Its body had a dark line on the back, so it blended in perfectly with its host.
